Lacvis Wins Big At The 3rd Annual Automotive Industry Exhibition
The 3rd Nigeria Annual Automotive Industry Exhibition and Awards, organized by the Automobile and Road Safety Initiative, took place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos. The event brought together key stakeholders, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss advancements in the Nigerian automotive sector while recognising organizations that have made outstanding contributions to road safety, transportation efficiency, and mobility services.
Among the distinguished attendees was Lagos Computerised Vehicle Inspection Service (LACVIS), a pioneering force in ensuring vehicle road worthiness and promoting safer roads in Lagos State. Representing the Managing Director of LACVIS at the event was the Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Edward Larbi, alongside the Corporate Communications Manager/Executive Assistant to the Group Managing Director, Damilola Banjoko.
In recognition of LACVIS’s unwavering commitment to innovation, safety, and excellence in vehicle inspection services, the organization was honoured with two prestigious awards:
- Excellence Award – Recognising LACVIS’s outstanding contributions to the automotive and road safety industry.
Excellence in Intra-State Mobility & Transportation Award – Celebrating LACVIS’s efforts in ensuring seamless and safe vehicular movement within Lagos State through its top-tier vehicle inspection services.
The event also had in attendance several high-profile guests and dignitaries from various sectors of the industry, including the representative of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS), Engr. Famuyide, who reiterated the importance of standardised vehicle inspections in reducing road accidents and enhancing transportation efficiency across the state.
